“Mr. Tong was in the lobby right when we headed down, walked us to the door, told us what we needed to know, and was right there to take us home right after. The food and show were great.”
Review of Siem Reap’s Apsara dance show and dinner, with Khmer food, hotel pickup, practical tips, value, and what to expect.
“The food is amazing. We had a massive dinner buffet with everything you can wish for with amazing taste. The venue is beautiful. The show in itself is very original with local dresses and traditional moves and music. 7 beautiful ladies and 6 young men were dressed up in various Khmer costumes and danced slowly on local music. It was 50 minutes, 6 dances. If I can be honest, it is a slow moving show and some may perceive it as slightly boring. I think the overall experience is very nice.”

“This food tour with Sarath was really cool. Sarath took us to some local places, where the food was really good. It's the kind of experience that we wouldn't be able to do without a local guide. Sarath went out of her way to show us a good time, added some extra stops along the way. The special stop to try the bugs was awesome and the bugs were surprisingly good, very well seasoned. Overall it was a well spent evening.”

“The dances were entertaining - we wish the Apsara dances had a little bit of explanation before each dance so that we could appreciate them and the cultural context some more. Dinner was Ok - about as one can expect at these type of experiences. We are vegetarian and there were reasonable options for us.”

Review of Siem Reap’s four-hour tuk-tuk street food tour, with local dishes, night-market insects, beer, guides, price, and practical tips.
“Hong is the best food tour guide I have ever had (and I’ve done quite a few of these). She was so warm and passionate about her culture and her food and sharing both of them with us. I was worried I would miss this food tour because my Angkor Wat tour was delayed in getting back to town, but Hong rearranged the pickup schedule so I could still attend this tour. I also had a headache when we started the tour and a very early morning the next day and was considering leaving early, but I’m so glad I didn’t. The food itself was really tasty and definitely the…”
Review of Siem Reap’s Apsara dinner show, with Khmer buffet, tuk-tuk transfers, cultural context, value, timing, and practical tips.
“The Apsara dance show was expected to be really good, but we honestly didn’t expect the dinner to be this grand! In other countries we’ve visited, similar cultural shows with dinner usually feel like just a formality, with average food at best. But here, the whole experience felt special, the venue itself was fantastic, like a large restaurant and auditorium combined, with fine dining-style seating and a lavish buffet featuring both Khmer dishes and international cuisine. The food was excellent and really highlighted the depth of Cambodian flavors. The Apsara dance performances were absolutely gorgeous, rich with culture and tradition, and such a pleasure to watch. Even our tuk tuk…”

“Show and food was amazing. However communication from the agent was poor about pick up time. Plenty of confusion. Messaged agent or guide. No correspondence back. We had to ring the company to get further details. No response via message and inside the hours specified. Thankfully show and food was excellent.”
